Bad Beat Jackpot Hit At Carbon Poker
The Bad Beat Jackpot has been claimed once again at Carbon Poker and the five players who were at the table couldn’t be happier about it. The total jackpot was worth $462,858.44 that those lucky five players split, and the hand that played out was full of exciting action.
It occurred on a $1/2 NL table, and both players who were involved with the winning and losing hands are Carbon players. Player ‘JhonB75’ was dealt 77 in the big blind and he decided to call a standard raise from the under the gun raiser ‘dojokid21’ who made it $7 to go with 6s 5s.
The flop came down like “gold” for both players as it was 3s,7c,4s, giving ‘JhonB75’ top set with his 7’s and ‘dojokid21’ had flopped the nut straight with a re-draw for a straight flush. After calling a check-raise from ‘JhonB75’, ‘dojokid21’ went to the turn looking to extract the most money he could from this hand.
If the flop brought some action, the 7s on the turn was the one that really amped it up. That card gave quad 7’s to ‘JhonB75’, while it also made that glorious straight flush for ‘dojokid21’! Predictably, ‘JhonB75’ led out $31 into an $82 pot with his quads and was smooth-called by ‘dojokid21’ right behind him. The Kc on the river was irrelevant and both players found themselves all-in after that. The pot of $434.90 was taken by ‘dojokid21’ with his straight flush, but that was just the beginning of the money train for these players.
With quad 7’s being the lowest qualifying hand for the Bad Beat Jackpot, ‘JhonB75’ didn’t sweat his loss too much, as he took down the jackpot for $162,000! ‘dojokid21’was awarded $81,000 for winning the hand, while the other three players at the table took home a cool $27,000 just for being dealt in!
Both ‘JhonB75’ and ‘dojokid21’ are members of the Carbon Poker community and we would like to congratulate them on claiming the major shares of a large Bad Beat Jackpot. It goes to show you that at any time the Bad Beat Jackpot hand can be dealt at your table and you could walk away with a nice chunk of change just for playing at Carbon Poker.
